Leaves longer than culms; leaf-blade yellowish green or green, flat, leathery, 1. 5-6 mm wide, scabrous on margins» acuminate at apex; sheaths dark brown», fibriform at apex. Involucral bracts shortly leaf-like, shorter than inflorescence, sheathed; sheaths 4-7 mm long, obliquely truncate at orifice, Inflorescence paniculate, with 2 or 3 spikes; terminal spike staminate» linear-cylindrical, 1-1. 5 cm long, 1. 5-2 mm wide, with a short peduncle at base; lateral spikes pistillate, shortly cylindrical, 1-1. 3 cm long, 5-7 mm wide, 6-8- flowered; peduncles slightly exserted from sheaths, or enclosed.
