Leaves longer than culms; leaf-blade yellowish green, flat, revolute, leathery, 1. 5-4 mm wide, acuminate at apex, scabrous on upper margins. Involucral bracts shortly leaf-like, shorter than inflorescence, sheathed; sheaths 1. 5-2 cm long,» obliquely truncate at orifice. Inflorescence paniculate, with 3 or 4 spikes; terminal spike staminate, clavate, 1-22. 5 cm long, 2. 5-3 mm wide, with a long peduncle at base; lateral spikes pistillate, eylindrical, 1-1. 5 cm long, 5-6 mm wide, slightly densely flowered; peduncles exserted
