Translation The stems of the rhizome are densely arranged horizontally, forming a dense, smooth tuft. The stems are erect, somewhat rigid, slender, 10 to 35 cm long, subquadrangular, finely striated, light or slightly rugged at an angle above, glaucous or dry, straw-colored and brown-spotted, with a sheathed base. The sheaths are 1 to 3, up to 5.5 cm long, quadrangular, tight, pale, with the mouth truncated and the bottom briefly pointed, the upper part extending into an awning-shaped leaf up to 15 mm long, with rugged, strictly erect or fully flexed edges. The spikelets are narrowly ovoid, about 4 to 6 mm long. The scales are ovate-lanceolate, with a somewhat rounded apex, golden brown, often with a hyaline margin, the inner scales paler, with a somewhat rounded or slightly emarginate apex, and a nerve extending into a short mucro. Young nut obovate, subtriangular, tapered at the short beak; The style is about 1.5 times longer, with 3 stigmas, 2.5 mm long, pale yellow, papillose. Hygloginous mushrooms of about 10, with thinner filaments, white, clear or barely denticulated towards the tip, scales slightly overrun, shorter than the stigmas.
