Involucral bracts leaf-like, longer than inflorescence, sheathed; sheaths ca. 0.5 cm long, obliquely truncate at orifice. Inflorescence paniculate, with 3 spikes, subcapitate» aggregated; terminal spike staminate, clavate» ca. 1.5 cm long, ca. 3 mm wide, with a short peduncle at base; lateral spikes androgynous, cylindrical, 1. 3-1. 7 cm long, 8-9 mm wide, densely flowered, bearing a ca. 0.5 cm long staminate part at apex; peduncles enclosed in sheaths.
