Bracts 3.5–4 cm long, leaf-like, without sheath, longer than the bottom spike but shorter than the whole inflorescence. Pistillate glumes 1.5 mm long. Utricles 2.5–3 mm long and 0.9–1 mm in diameter, with papillae, brownish at the top. Fruits 1.2 mm long.
