Translation The plant is gray-haired; with a straight upright stem and inflorescence almost above the thick triangular line, very much thickened towards the base and covered with brown sheaths with many leaves; leaves densely packed, leathery-rigid, patent (with the base flexuous-recurved), about 1.5 inches long and half an inch wide, short pointed at the top, with smooth edges; the panicle is about a foot tall and upright; with fascicles of female spikelets (4) at the stem's apex, those inflorescences are short pedunculate, about half an inch long; secondary male peduncles are 4 distant, 3 to 4 inches long, briefly bracteated, with unequal bunches of few spikelets; spikelets are somewhat shaped, female ones broadly oval about 2/5 inch long; scales are conforming, broadly oval, with the outer ones long-cuspidate.
