Locality notes: Written "Bei Angelarud (Prov. Karabagh) unweit Nachitschewan, 24 Mai 1847" in the protologue. Lectotypified by XXX . The information written on the label corresponds to the information on the protologue. Despite the mention "Unweit' (meaning "near" in German) Angelarud is about 60 km E of the city of Nakhchivan. About the location of Angelarud: Translation from German to English of p. X of the protologue (https://www.biodiversitylibrary.org/page/11820199#page/23/mode/1up): "I saw some of these plants again in the mountains east and north of Nakhchivan, particularly in the Illanglidagh region and in the lower Alyndja Valley, whose soil also contains salt. Here, as well as in the mountain valleys of Karabagh, where I visited the towns of Sisian, Tassakend, and Angelarud, and from where I returned to Nakhchivan via Bechenagh, and also in the northern Jagri Valley, there was a quite respectable yield [...]". Bechenagh corresponds to Bichanak [Biç?n?k], Sisian corresponds to Sisian [??????], and Angelarud (written as Angelaghud on the label), corresponds to the nearby town of Angeghakot [?????????]. The armenian pronuncuation is similar to Angelaghud.
