Translation Rhizome with very long, thick internodes. Fertile stems (10)15–40(70) cm, smooth, trigonous, pubescent. Leaves (1.6)3–5(7) mm wide, shorter or longer than the stems, flat, rough along the margins of the upper part, densely pubescent on both surfaces, somewhat rigid; ligule (1)1.5–2(4) mm long, not wider than the blade, with an obtuse, rounded or emarginate apex and irregular margins; without an antiligule; basal sheaths scale-like, brown, ± entire.
